Inspired to act by the environmental crisis, Martin and Luke established Engineering Plastic in Beverley to transform plastic waste destined for landfill into useful and beautiful objects. They see used plastic as an important resource, not waste.  

Each item begins life as bottles and tops which are collected, cleaned and shred in a grinding machine. The grindings are placed in a mould, heated carefully and compressed.  The plastic waste is transformed into a something new which is not only beautiful with a unique marbling effect and vibrant colours, but each item they sell turns the tide on the sea of used plastic in this world.
