Light Me Up - Original Painting

Original watercolour painting by Bryony Caswell. This beautiful piece uses watercolour paint, wax pencil, acrylic and iridescent paint/inks on 300 gsm watercolour paper.

"Light me up" uses turqouise, blue, pink and white to depict light-bulb sea-squirts, found in British waters this transparent species (Clavellina lepadiformis) at first glance appear to be lightbulbs. These small colonial filter feeders can be found below the sea surface, lighting up rock pools on beaches around the UK. The iridescent paints make the sea squirts sparkle when they catch the light. 

The unframed image measures 16 cm x 16 cm. It is framed under glass in a black acrylic frame, with a white textured mount. The framed size measures 22 cm x 22 cm, by 2 cm depth. The painting is sealed at the back with framing tape for protection from dust, its ready to hang and has a back-stand so it can also be free-standing.
