Jane co-founded Art & Soul with a simple aim: to create a beautiful, supportive retail space where independent artists and makers can be discovered and valued. She now oversees the online store, brand direction and ongoing development of the business, working closely with the team behind the scenes. Outside of work, she loves family time, dog walks, coffee and the Lake District.

Roger co-founded Art & Soul alongside Jane and plays a key role in the systems, structure and day-to-day operations that keep the business running smoothly. He focuses on the practical side of the business, ensuring processes and behind-the-scenes details are well managed as the company grows. Calm, thoughtful and solutions-focused, Roger is the steady force behind the scenes.

After joining Art & Soul, Erin completed her Customer Service Specialist Apprenticeship with a double distinction. Outside of work, she enjoys relaxed Sundays painting her nails while watching F1 and women’s football (especially Chelsea).

Caroline has been with us since we opened in 2020 and has been a trusted part of the team throughout our journey. She helped us get established in Hull before returning to Beverley. When she’s not working (or sewing), Caroline loves collecting all things dolls and teddies.

Owen has been part of the Beverley team since 2022. During that time, he completed a degree in Graphic Design and spent a year in wildlife conservation. He is an avid bird watcher and illustrator — see OwenTat Draws.

Alena played a key part in preparing and setting up our Leeds store and is now back in Hull full time. In her spare time she enjoys exploring the countryside in her little yellow car, or curling up with Netflix or a crime thriller.

Katie is responsible for much of our written content and storytelling across newsletters and communications. She also writes beautiful poetry — see Words by Catherine Prutton. Katie loves a good cup of tea, a long walk and watching The Royle Family.

Jojo has a natural eye for visual storytelling and captures photos for our newsletters, Instagram and website. She also creates her own illustrations — see Mama Made by Jojo.

Amelia works alongside studying Psychology, Criminology and Film Studies at college. She hopes to study Psychology in the future and enjoys practising her cooking and learning new, budget-friendly recipes in preparation for student life.

Isabel is currently studying Architectural Environment Engineering at the University of Nottingham and helps in the shops when she’s home, while also contributing remotely during term time. Outside of work, she enjoys painting, crocheting and watching F1.

Nell is currently studying A Levels in Art, History and English Language. She loves painting, crafts and spending time with her family, and brings lots of creativity into everything she does.
