ABOUT THE PAINTING
This mounted (unframed), original, mixed media painting is part of my Hedgerow Series of paintings and is titled 'Colours to Make You Smile'.

I'm very lucky to live on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales in beautiful Wharfedale and so I'm surrounded by gorgeous countryside. My Hedgerow Series is inspired by the burgeoning hedgerows I encounter on my walks from home. It really is my happy place!
In this work I have used professional quality Watercolour Paints, Gel Pens, Posca Pens, Pigment Liner and StazOn Ink. 

Please note that I often use paints and pens with a metallic/glittery sheen for highlights, but this is very difficult to capture in a photograph. My work is therefore best viewed in person, to fully appreciate these special little details.
* SIZE:  The overall size of the mounted painting is 40cm x 50cm. The actual painted area measures 28cm x 37.6cm.
* WHAT'S INCLUDED:  The artwork is one of a kind, signed and comes with a certificate of authenticity. It is mounted (but not framed) and sealed inside a protective sleeve.
* ABOUT THE PAPER:  I have used Jackson's Watercolour Paper (300gsm/140lb, cold pressed (NOT)). The paper is made with lignin-free wood pulp and is acid-free and vegan-friendly.
* CARE INSTRUCTIONS:  As this painting has areas of watercolour, it should ideally be framed under glass (museum grade if possible), to help protect it from dust and UV light. It should also be hung/displayed away from natural light.
