LITTLE MERMAID LINO PRINT

This piece of art is based on the Hans Christian Andersen fairytale 'the Little Mermaid.' A tragic tale of a mermaid who trades her voice for legs. I was inspired a little by Art Nouveau when creating this piece.

This is a lino print which has been handprinted by myself, from my own original design and carving. I used deep blue Himalayan Lokta paper for this print which is renewable and made in a responsible way. The method used for making this particular paper has remained unchanged for 1000 years.

The gold ink is oil based and made by Cranfield colours. It will offer you a vibrant, lightfast and lasting print. It really catches the light in a beautiful way. I would recommend a UV resistant frame for this and to not place it in direct sunlight to retain the blue of the paper. 

The size is approx A4 but each unique print varies from one to the next due to the deckled nature of the paper edges.
