PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

Limited edition prints of an original watercolour painting by Bryony Caswell.

"Nautilus" uses pinks, oranges, creams and blues to capture the beautiful striped nautilus. Known as living fossils nautilus are a rare analogue for the ammonites, which have been extinct since the Cretaceous. Related to squids and octopusses they have large eyes and tentacles. They live inside a large beautiful striped shell and can only be found in the deep waters of the Indopacific Ocean today. The image measures 17 cm x 17 cm with a 2.5 cm border.
  • The original painting uses watercolours, acrylic and iridescent paints on 300gsm watercolour paper.
  • These are high quality giclee reproductions printed on 285 gsm Hahnemule Torchon paper (making it thick almost like card) with a textured surface - resembling qualities of the original painting.
  • Part of a limited edition run of 150 prints, each is numbered, signed and comes with a certificate of authenticity.
  • Prints are packed in film bags (bio-based and biodegradable) with archival quality acid-free backing boards protect prints from chemical changes that can affect the colours.
  • Framed prints are also available, these are framed under glass in a white acrylic frame, with a white textured mount. The framed size measures 25.5 cm x 25.5 cm, by 2.5 cm depth. The painting is ready to hang and has a back-stand so it can be free-standing if you prefer. The Limited edition certificate is included inside with the framed image.
