New Job Letter for Confidence and Reflection

The night before a new beginning is one of the loneliest places to be.

The excitement that carried them through the interview, through the phone call, and the celebratory drinks gradually fades as the day gets closer, and nerves work their way in. And in its place comes the spiral. Can I actually do this? What if they find out I'm not as good as they think? What if I don't fit in?

This letter is for that moment.

Because here's what they need to hear: out of everyone who applied, everyone who sat in that waiting room, everyone who wanted that job; they were the chosen one. Something in your person shone so brightly it was impossible for an employer to ignore. It's just making sure they can see it too.

Yes, tomorrow will feel scary. Their heart might race as they get dressed. Their stomach might drop as they reach for the door handle. That's not a sign they made a mistake, but rather what it feels like to be brave.

Walk through the door anyway.
