Handmade Silver Circle Earrings with Wild Flower and Grasses Design on Sterling Silver Hooks

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

A pair of handmade, round shaped, silver earrings using 100% recycled silver featuring a wildflower and grasses textured surface.

These round silver dangly earrings showcase a design taken from a drawing of the wild flowers and grasses that spring up in meadows around Sowerby, West Yorkshire.  The fields take on beautiful colours as the different species flower, attracting a huge variety of butterflies and insects. The front of the earring features the grass design, raised above a smooth flat silver surface. Both sides have slightly oxidised finish which allows the design to stand out.

The silver Esther Priestley uses is all 100% recycled silver, mainly in the form of silver clay as this allows textures and patterns to be pressed into the pieces before they are fired in a kiln. Then using traditional silver smithing techniques other parts are added. (Silver Clay has a high silver content, and can actually be hallmarked as 999 Fine Silver rather the slightly lower 925 content of Sterling Silver.)

Please note as each item is unique, each earring will therefore differ slightly from the image.
