What is Citrine: Citrine is a transparent, yellow variety of Quartz, ranging in colour from pale to golden yellow, honey, or almost brown, and may contain rainbow or red veins. Citrine comes from all around the world. The most abundant natural Citrine sources are in Bolivia, Madagascar, Mexico, Spain, Russia, Brazil, and Uruguay.

History: In ancient times, people believed that Citrine gemstones could calm tempers, soothe anger and manifest desires, especially prosperity. To Egyptians used Citrine gemstones as talismans, the ancient Greeks carved iconic images into them, and Roman priests fashioned them into rings.

Translation: Citrine comes from the French word 'citron,' meaning lemon, or the Latin word 'citrina,' meaning yellow.
