Handmade Light Pitfired Vessel

Each piece is individually handmade and pit-fired in my home studio, making every vessel completely one of a kind. Created from porcelain and carefully burnished to a soft satin sheen, these pieces develop unique patterns and colours through the unpredictable firing process. Rich tones of red, orange, yellow, purple, pink, white, and black emerge naturally from the fire, resulting in markings that can never be exactly replicated.

The smooth burnished surface highlights the organic beauty of the clay and the distinctive effects of pit firing, celebrating the interaction between earth, smoke, flame, and minerals. No two pieces are ever the same, making each one a truly unique work of ceramic art.

Designed as decorative objects, these vessels make beautiful standalone display pieces and are also suitable for dried flowers or botanical arrangements.

Each piece reflects my passion for traditional firing methods and the beauty of embracing the unexpected results that only fire can create.
