Did you know that the polar bear’s skin is black? This probably helps to retain some heat given the freezing temperatures that it has to endure. The fur allows it to blend in, and it is very hard to see one coming. Both the Arctic and Antarctic help regulate the temperature of our planet – without them, it would be a lot hotter in many places and probably wouldn’t sustain life.

This particular design has been inspired by the polar bear.
