PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

All badges are made either from birch or cherry wood which has been responsibly sourced from managed woodlands. Cherry wood pins are slightly darker than the birch wood pins.
Each pin is approximately 3cm in size and has a single silver metal butterfly clip on the back. 
The pin comes on a display card made from recycled kraft paper which can be kept with the badge or placed in your home recycling bin. Each display card describes the symbolism the species can represent. The printing is all done using vegetable inks that contain no chemicals.
All packaging is as eco-friendly as possible. The small cellophane protective bags are either made from cellulose (wood fibre) or corn starch so these are biodegradable and compostable. 
The designs printed onto these pin badges are all originals that were either hand-drawn on paper or digitally. 


A little more about the production of the pin badges:
Wooden pin badges actually use 20-24 times less energy than when producing metal or enamel pins, and also cut the CO2 emissions by a third. 
The woods used for these badges, Cherry or Birch, are fast-growing and are removed during a sustainable growth period. This means that the woodlands sourcing these materials are responsibly managed and have a continuous supply of trees, maintaining the woodland character and ecosystem.
